Send in the clowns

Don't bother, they're here.

Another clown I painted.  I think this was about 32 years later.  I painted this for a fundraiser.  See Jules in the nose there?  That's where you toss the beanbags through.

It is a bit different from the smiling BOSO.  Maybe a little more evil.  It did bring me happiness and relaxation though.  I remember the day I painted it.  It was a beautiful day and I painted out on the front porch in the sun.  It helped me relieve some stress.  When am I not stressed?!  Ack.  Maybe painting clowns is the answer.  Not sure what the question is, but painting clowns has to be the answer.

Paul (my husband, who fears the clown) tried to get rid of this but my kids rescued it.  They are a little freaky.  They must take after their mom.

An artist at 5

I remember in Kindergarten we had "stations" where we could do different activities.  There was a puzzle station, a playhouse, blocks and a variety of other things that I just cannot recall.  The only one I remember actually ever wanting to go to was the painting station.  I loved it.  You would put on a smock, which was really only a shirt that you wore backwards.  Then you got to stand at an easel and paint with a rainbow of colors.  Painting is definitely my best memory from kindergarten.

A couple of weeks ago I was going through some of my mom's old papers and I found this "painting".  It was one of my kindergarten masterpieces.  It made me laugh.  Yes, I did make my Z backwards.  But look at my use of color!  hehehe

I do love the colors, they are bright and happy.   I think I need to start painting again.  I need to paint like I am five.  No agonizing over little details.  No worrying about making mistakes.  Just do it for fun.  Be free and in the moment.  Be happy!

My happy little place...

This blog is going to be my happy little place.  A place where I share my artwork, photos and stamping creations.  No ranting and whining and boo-hooing here.  Just happiness.  Now let's see if I ever post anything.  buahahahahaaa
